Source Text: Hebrew (WLC) Zechariah 3:5:1 ⧉וָאֹמַ֕רvaomarand I said Zechariah 3:5:2 ⧉יָשִׂ֛ימוּyasimulet them put or they shall put Zechariah 3:5:3 ⧉צָנִ֥יףtsanifa turban Zechariah 3:5:4 ⧉טָה֖וֹרtahorclean Zechariah 3:5:5 ⧉עַל־רֹאשׁ֑וֹalroshoon his head Zechariah 3:5:6 ⧉וַיָּשִׂימוּ֩vayasimuand they put Zechariah 3:5:7 ⧉הַצָּנִ֨יףhatsanifthe turban Zechariah 3:5:8 ⧉הַטָּה֜וֹרhatahorthe clean one Zechariah 3:5:9 ⧉עַל־רֹאשׁ֗וֹalroshoon his head Zechariah 3:5:10 ⧉וַיַּלְבִּשֻׁ֙הוּ֙vayalbishuhuand they clothed him Zechariah 3:5:11 ⧉בְּגָדִ֔יםbegadimwith garments Zechariah 3:5:12 ⧉וּמַלְאַ֥ךְumalakhand the angel of Zechariah 3:5:13 ⧉יְהוָ֖הyahwehthe LORD Zechariah 3:5:14 ⧉עֹמֵֽד׃omedstanding |
5. Formal Translation Then I said, “Let them set a pure turban on his head.” They set the pure turban on his head and clothed him in garments, while the angel of the LORD {Yahweh, Divine Attendant} stood at his side. |
5. Dynamic Translation I said, “Put a clean turban on his head.” They put the clean turban on his head, dressed him in garments, and the angel of the LORD {Yahweh, Supervising Messenger} remained close by. |
