7. Formal Translation Be silent before the Lord GOD {Adonai Yahweh, Sovereign Judge}, for the day of the LORD is near; the LORD has made ready a sacrifice and has consecrated those He has invited. |
7. Dynamic Translation Be still before the Lord GOD {Adonai Yahweh, Impending Judge}, because the day of the LORD is at hand; the LORD has set up a sacrifice and has made holy the guests He has called. |
