The adverbial connector vechen ya’aseh {וְכֵן יַעֲשֶׂה | wə-kên ya‘ăśeh} extends the action to the Ammonite towns (arei Bnei Ammon {עָרֵי בְּנֵי־עַמּוֹן | ’ārê bᵊnê ’ammôn}).
