28. Formal Translation And now, little children, abide in Him {Christos, Faithful Coming Lord} so that when He is revealed we may have confidence {parrēsian: open, fearless assurance} and not be ashamed before Him at His coming. |
28. Dynamic Translation So now, my dear children, stay connected to Him {Christos, Trusted Future Judge} when He appears we can stand with boldness {parrēsian: free, courageous stance} and not be put to shame in His presence at His coming. |
