26. Formal Translation And Jeroboam son of Nebat, an Ephraimite from Zeredah, whose mother was Zeruah, a widow, was a servant of Solomon, and he lifted his hand against the king. |
26. Dynamic Translation Now Jeroboam, the son of Nebat, was from the tribe of Ephraim in Zeredah. His mother’s name was Zeruah; she was a widow. He served Solomon but rebelled against the king. |
