7. Formal Translation Then Solomon built a high place for Chemosh, the abomination of Moab, on the mountain that is before Jerusalem, and for Molech, the abomination of the sons of Ammon. |
7. Dynamic Translation At that time, Solomon erected a shrine for Chemosh, the detestable god of Moab, on the hill east of Jerusalem, and also for Molech, the hated god of the people of Ammon. |
