| 2. Formal Translation And Jeroboam said to his wife, “Arise, please, and disguise yourself, so that they will not know that you are the wife of Jeroboam. And go to Shiloh. Behold, Ahijah the prophet is there—he spoke concerning me that I should be king over this people.” |
| 2. Dynamic Translation Jeroboam told his wife, “Get up, please, and put on a disguise, so no one will recognize that you are Jeroboam’s wife. Go to Shiloh. Ahijah the prophet is there—he is the one who told me I would be king over these people.” |
