23. Formal Translation And Elkanah said to his wife, “Do what is good in your eyes; stay until you have weaned him. Only may the LORD {Yahweh, Promise Keeper} establish His word.” And the woman stayed and nursed her son until she weaned him. |
23. Dynamic Translation Elkanah told his wife, “Do whatever seems best to you. Stay here until you have finished weaning him. May the LORD {Yahweh, Faithful Promise Keeper} make sure His word comes true.” So the woman stayed at home and nursed her son until she weaned him. |
