10. Formal Translation And they cried out to the LORD {Yahweh, Deliverer in Distress} and said, “We have sinned, for we have forsaken the LORD and served the Baals and the Ashtoreths. Now deliver us from the hand of our enemies, and we will serve You.” |
10. Dynamic Translation They called to the LORD {Yahweh, Rescuer in Trouble} and confessed, “We have done wrong, abandoning the LORD to serve Baals and Ashtoreths. Now rescue us from our enemies’ power, and we will serve You.” |
