1 Samuel 12:20:1וַיֹּ֨אמֶרvayomerand he said
1 Samuel 12:20:2שְׁמוּאֵ֤לshemuelSamuel 1 Samuel 12:20:3אֶל־הָעָם֙elhaamto the people 1 Samuel 12:20:4אַל־תִּירָ֔אוּaltiraudo not fear 1 Samuel 12:20:5אַתֶּ֣םatemyou 1 Samuel 12:20:6עֲשִׂיתֶ֔םasitemyou have done 1 Samuel 12:20:7אֵ֥תet 1 Samuel 12:20:8כָּל־הָרָעָ֖הkalharaaall the evil 1 Samuel 12:20:9הַזֹּ֑אתhazotthis 1 Samuel 12:20:10אַ֗ךְakhonly 1 Samuel 12:20:11אַל־תָּס֙וּרוּ֙altasurudo not turn aside 1 Samuel 12:20:12מֵאַחֲרֵ֣יmeakharefrom after 1 Samuel 12:20:13יְהוָ֔הyahwehLORD 1 Samuel 12:20:14וַעֲבַדְתֶּ֥םvaavadtemand you shall serve 1 Samuel 12:20:15אֶת־יְהוָ֖הetyahwehthe LORD 1 Samuel 12:20:16בְּכָל־לְבַבְכֶֽם׃bekhallevavkhemwith all your heart
20. Formal Translation
And Samuel said to the people, “Do not be afraid. You have committed all this evil; yet do not turn aside from following the LORD {Yahweh, Covenant Authority}, but serve the LORD with all your heart.”
20. Dynamic Translation
Samuel said to the people, “Do not fear. You have truly committed this wrong, but do not turn away from the LORD {Yahweh, Faithful Leader}; instead, worship the LORD with your whole heart.”
