27. Formal Translation
Now Jonathan did not hear when his father caused the people to swear, so he stretched out the tip of the staff that was in his hand and dipped it in the honeycomb, and he put his hand to his mouth, and his eyes became bright.
27. Dynamic Translation
Jonathan did not realize that his father had bound the people by oath, so he reached out the tip of the staff in his hand and dipped it into the honey, then he put his hand to his mouth, and his eyes brightened.
