49. Formal Translation
Then David reached into the sling pouch, drew out a stone, hurled it, and struck the Philistine champion on the forehead. The stone embedded itself there, and he fell face-first to the ground.
49. Dynamic Translation
David plunged his hand into his bag, grabbed a stone, slung it, and hit the Philistine on the forehead. The stone sank in, and he collapsed face-first onto the earth.
