20. Formal Translation And Eli blessed Elkanah and his wife and said, “May the LORD {Yahweh, Blessing Giver} grant you offspring from this woman in return for the request which she asked of the LORD.” Then they went to their home. |
20. Dynamic Translation Eli blessed Elkanah and his wife and said, “May the LORD give you children from this woman in return for the petition she made to the LORD {Yahweh, Promise Fulfiller}.” Then they returned to their home. |
