| 6. Formal Translation If your father misses me at all, then say, “David earnestly asked leave from me to run to Bethlehem, his city, for there is a yearly sacrifice there for the whole clan.” |
| 6. Dynamic Translation If your father notices I am not with him all day, tell him, “David urgently asked my permission to hurry to Bethlehem because the entire family is there for the annual sacrifice.” |
