19. Formal Translation And his daughter-in-law, the wife of Phinehas, was pregnant and about to give birth. When she heard the report that the ark of God {Elohim, Divine Protector} had been taken and that her father-in-law and her husband had died, she crouched down and gave birth, for her labor pains overwhelmed her. |
19. Dynamic Translation Phinehas’s wife, who was expecting a child, was close to delivery. When she learned that the ark of God {Elohim, Sacred Sovereign} had been captured and that her father-in-law and her husband were dead, she bowed down and gave birth, for her pains overtook her. |
