13. Formal Translation And for this reason also we give thanks to God {Theos, Source of Message} without ceasing, because when you received the word of God which you heard from us, you accepted it not as the word of men but just as it truly is—the word of God—which also is at work in you who believe. |
13. Dynamic Translation That is why we constantly thank God {Theos, Giver of Living Word}. When you received what we brought you—the message from God—you welcomed it not as a human message but as what it really is, God’s message, which continues to work in you who believe. |
