The phrase umenorat hazahav veneroteha {וּמְנוֹרַת הַזָּהָב וְנֵרֹתֶיהָ | û-mə-nō-raṯ haz-zā-hāḇ wə-nē-rō-ṯe-hā} is followed by the purpose infinitive leva`er {לְבָעֵר | lə-ḇā-ʿēr} to express intended result: the lamps are maintained “to keep burning.”
