| 12. Formal Translation And Asa became ill in the thirty-ninth year of his reign, his sickness was in his feet until it reached a critical severity. Even in his illness he did not seek the LORD {Yahweh, Healer and Judge}, but only consulted the physicians. |
| 12. Dynamic Translation In the thirty-ninth year of his rule, Asa suffered a grievous affliction in his feet that grew exceedingly severe; yet he did not turn to the LORD {Yahweh, Merciful Healer}, but relied only on physicians. |
