2 Chronicles 18:14:2אֶל־הַמֶּלֶךְ֒elhamelekhto the king 2 Chronicles 18:14:3וַיֹּ֨אמֶרvayomerand he said 2 Chronicles 18:14:4הַמֶּ֜לֶךְhamelekhthe king 2 Chronicles 18:14:5אֵלָ֗יוelavto him 2 Chronicles 18:14:6מִיכָה֙mikhaMicaiah 2 Chronicles 18:14:7הֲנֵלֵ֞ךְhanelekhshall we go 2 Chronicles 18:14:8אֶל־רָמֹ֥תelramotto Ramoth 2 Chronicles 18:14:9גִּלְעָ֛דgiladGilead 2 Chronicles 18:14:10לַמִּלְחָמָ֖הlamilkhamafor the battle 2 Chronicles 18:14:11אִם־אֶחְדָּ֑לimekhdalor shall I refrain 2 Chronicles 18:14:12וַיֹּ֙אמֶר֙vayomerand he said 2 Chronicles 18:14:13עֲל֣וּalugo up 2 Chronicles 18:14:14וְהַצְלִ֔יחוּvehatslikhuand succeed 2 Chronicles 18:14:15וְיִנָּתְנ֖וּveyinnatnuand they will be given 2 Chronicles 18:14:16בְּיֶדְכֶֽם׃beyedkheminto your hand
14. Formal Translation
When he came to the king, the king said to him, “Micaiah, shall we go to fight at Ramoth Gilead, or shall I refrain?” And he answered, “Go up and succeed; they will be given into your hand.”
14. Dynamic Translation
After Micaiah stood before the king, the king asked him, “Should we go to war at Ramoth Gilead, or should I hold back?” Micaiah replied, “Go up and prevail; they will be handed over to you.”
