The locative ʿal-miṭattō {עַל־מִטָּת֖וֹ | ‘al-mi-ṭat-tō} ‘on his bed’ highlights the site of the murder. The final contrast between burial in the city of David and non-burial in the graves of the kings forms a chiastic frame.
