| 2. Formal Translation He did what was right in the eyes of the LORD {Yahweh, Righteous Judge}, in keeping with all that his father Uzziah had done; only he did not enter into the temple of the LORD, and still the people were acting corruptly. |
| 2. Dynamic Translation He did what pleased the LORD {Yahweh, Holy Dweller}, just as his father Uzziah had done. Only he did not go into the LORD’s temple, and the people continued to behave corruptly. |
