24. Formal Translation
And if Your {Yahweh, Just Sustainer} people Israel are struck down before an enemy because they have sinned against You, and they return and acknowledge Your name and pray and plead for mercy before You in this house.
24. Dynamic Translation
If the people of Israel are defeated by an enemy because they sinned against You {Yahweh, Merciful Redeemer}, and then they truly repent and turn back to You, confess Your name and offer prayers and urgent pleas for help in this temple.
