Exegesis
The verse opens with the coordinating conjunction vav {וְ | wə} linking ve-hakohanim {וְהַכֹּהֲנִים | wə-hākōhănîm} “and the priests” to the locative prepositional phrase al-mishmerotam {עַל־מִשְׁמְרוֹתָם | ʿal-mišmərōtām} “on their stations,” followed by the qal participle omdim {עֹמְדִים | ˀômdîm} “standing” to form a circumstantial clause.
Finally, ve-ḵāl yisrāʾēl omdim {וְכָל־יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל עֹמְדִֽים | wə-ḵāl yisrāʾēl ˀômdîm} “and all Israel was standing” frames the communal participation in worship.
