| 29. Formal Translation In the days of Pekah, king of Israel, Tiglath-Pileser, king of Assyria, came and took Ijon, Abel Beth Maakah, Janoah, Kedesh, Hazor, the Gilead, and the Galilee—all the land of Naphtali—and he exiled them to Assyria. |
| 29. Dynamic Translation During the time when Pekah ruled Israel, Tiglath-Pileser, king of Assyria, invaded and captured Ijon, Abel Beth Maakah, Janoah, Kedesh, Hazor, the region of Gilead, and the whole area of Galilee, including all the land of Naphtali, and sent the people away to Assyria. |
