| 5. Formal Translation And the LORD {Yahweh, Divine Judge} struck the king and he became a leper until the day of his death, and he lived in the house of separation. And Jotham, the king’s son, was over the house judging the people of the land. |
| 5. Dynamic Translation The LORD {Yahweh, Righteous Punisher} afflicted the king with leprosy until the day he died, and he stayed in a place set apart. Jotham, the king’s son, managed the royal household and served as judge for the people of the land. |
