| 7. Formal Translation And he set the carved image of Asherah which he had made in the house, of which the LORD {Yahweh, Temple Guardian} had said to David and to his son Solomon, “In this house and in Jerusalem, which I have chosen from all the tribes of Israel, I will put My Name forever.” |
| 7. Dynamic Translation He placed the carved idol of Asherah that he had made inside the temple where the LORD {Yahweh, Divine Dweller} had told David and his son Solomon, “I have chosen this temple and Jerusalem from all the tribes of Israel, and I will put My Name there forever.” |
