| 2. Formal Translation And the LORD {Yahweh, Divine Judge} sent against him bands of Chaldeans, Arameans, Moabites, and the sons of Ammon, and He dispatched them into Judah to destroy it, according to the word of the LORD which He spoke by His servants the prophets. |
| 2. Dynamic Translation The LORD sent Babylonian, Aramean, Moabite, and Ammonite raiders against him, dispatching them into Judah to destroy it, just as the LORD {Yahweh, Righteous Punisher} had declared through His prophets. |
