2. Formal Translation And David arose and went with all the people who were with him from Baale of Judah to bring up from there the ark of God {Elohim, Divine Presence}, which is called by the name of the LORD of hosts {Yahweh Tsevaot, Supreme Commander} who dwells between the cherubim on it. |
2. Dynamic Translation So David set out with all the people who were with him from Baale of Judah to bring up from there the ark of God {Elohim, Divine Dwelling}, called by the name of the LORD of hosts {Yahweh Tsevaot, Commander of Armies}, the One who sits enthroned above the cherubim on it. |
