Source Text: Hebrew (WLC) 2 Samuel 7:10:1 ⧉וְשַׂמְתִּ֣יvesamtiand I will set 2 Samuel 7:10:2 ⧉מָ֠קוֹםmakoma place 2 Samuel 7:10:3 ⧉לְעַמִּ֨יleammifor my people 2 Samuel 7:10:4 ⧉לְיִשְׂרָאֵ֤לleyisraelfor Israel 2 Samuel 7:10:5 ⧉וּנְטַעְתִּיו֙unetativand I will plant him or it 2 Samuel 7:10:6 ⧉וְשָׁכַ֣ןveshakhanand he will dwell 2 Samuel 7:10:7 ⧉תַּחְתָּ֔יוtakhtavunder it or in it 2 Samuel 7:10:8 ⧉וְלֹ֥אveloand not 2 Samuel 7:10:9 ⧉יִרְגַּ֖זyirgazhe will be shaken or disturbed 2 Samuel 7:10:10 ⧉ע֑וֹדodagain or any more 2 Samuel 7:10:11 ⧉וְלֹֽא־יֹסִ֤יפוּveloyosifuand they will not continue or add 2 Samuel 7:10:12 ⧉בְנֵֽי־עַוְלָה֙veneavalasons of injustice 2 Samuel 7:10:13 ⧉לְעַנּוֹת֔וֹleanototo afflict him 2 Samuel 7:10:14 ⧉כַּאֲשֶׁ֖רkaasheras or just as 2 Samuel 7:10:15 ⧉בָּרִאשׁוֹנָֽה׃barishonain the former time or at the first |
10. Formal Translation And I {Yahweh, Covenant Promiser} will set a place for My people, for Israel, and I will plant them there, and they will dwell in their own place, and they will not be troubled any more, and the sons of injustice will not continue to afflict them as at the first. |
10. Dynamic Translation I {Yahweh, Faithful Protector} will give My people Israel a secure home, planting them so they may live in peace, and they will never be disturbed again. Wicked people will no longer oppress them as they did at the beginning. |
