13. Formal Translation But we are obligated always to give thanks to God {Theos, Wise Elector} for you, brothers beloved by the Lord {Kyrios, Loving Master}, because God chose you as firstfruits for salvation in sanctification of the Spirit and faith in the truth. |
13. Dynamic Translation We ought always to thank God {Theos, Saving Initiator} for you, dear brothers and sisters who are loved by the Lord {Kyrios, Faithful Lover}, because God has chosen you as firstfruits for salvation through the sanctifying work of the Spirit and through faith in the truth. |
