Paul and Silvanus and Timothy, to the church of the Thessalonians in God our Father {Theos, Covenant Father} and the Lord Jesus Christ {Kyrios Iesous Christos, Ruling Messiah}.
Grace to you and peace from God {Theos, Gracious Father} our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ {Kyrios Iesous Christos, Saving Lord}.
We ought always to give thanks to God {Theos, Nurturer Of Growth} concerning you, brothers, just as it is fitting, because your faith {pistis: steadfast trust} grows exceedingly, and the love of each one of you all toward one another increases.
So that we ourselves boast about you among the churches of God {Theos, Lord Of Churches} because of your perseverance {hypomone: steadfast endurance} and faith in all the persecutions and tribulations which you are enduring.
This is evidence of the just judgment {krisis: fair verdict} of God {Theos, Supreme Judge}, so that you may be considered worthy of the kingdom of God, for which you also suffer.
If indeed it is just with God {Theos, Righteous Judge} to repay with affliction those who afflict {thlibo: cause distress} you.
And to you, the ones being afflicted, He will grant relief with us at the revelation of the Lord Jesus {Kyrios Iesous, Returning Judge} from heaven with the angels of His power {dynamis: manifested might}.
In flaming fire, inflicting vengeance on those who do not know God {Theos, True Creator} and on those who do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus {Kyrios Iesous, Righteous Avenger}.
Those who will pay the penalty of everlasting destruction {olethron: final ruin} from the presence of the Lord {Kyrios, Righteous Judge} and from the glory of His power.
When He {Christos, Returning Lord} comes to be glorified in His saints and to be marveled at among all who have believed, because our testimony {martyrion: gospel witness} to you was believed, on that day.
For this purpose we also always pray concerning you, that our God {Theos, Faithful Caller} may count you worthy of the calling {klesis: divine vocation} and may fulfill every good desire of goodness and work of faith in power.
So that the name of our Lord Jesus {Kyrios Iesous, Glorified Lord} may be glorified {endoxazo: filled with honor} in you, and you in Him, according to the grace {charis: divine favor and power} of our God {Theos, Giver of Grace} and the Lord Jesus Christ {Kyrios Iesous Christos, Source of Shared Glory}.
