22. Formal Translation And they said, “Cornelius, a centurion, a righteous man, and one who fears God {Theos, Guiding Revealer}, being well spoken of also by the whole nation of the Jews, was directed by a holy angel to send for you into his house and to hear words from you.” |
22. Dynamic Translation They answered, “Cornelius, the centurion, is a good and upright man, who deeply honors God {Theos, Worthy of Worship}, and is well respected by all the Jewish people. A holy angel gave him instructions to ask you to come to his home and to listen to what you have to say.” |
