4. Formal Translation But he, having looked intently at him and having become afraid, said, “What is it, Lord {Kyrios, Awe-Inspiring Master}?” And he said to him, “Your prayers and your alms have gone up for a memorial before God {Theos, Attentive Witness}.” |
4. Dynamic Translation He fixed his gaze on him and, terrified, said, “What is it, Lord {Kyrios, Heavenly Authority}?” He replied, “Your prayers and your acts of mercy have come up before God {Theos, Mindful Rememberer} as a lasting reminder.” |
