46. Formal Translation And after Paul and Barnabas had spoken boldly, they said, “It was necessary for the word of God {Theos, Covenant God Of Israel} to be spoken to you first. But since you are rejecting it and do not consider yourselves worthy of eternal life, behold, we are turning to the Gentiles.” |
46. Dynamic Translation Then Paul and Barnabas spoke out boldly and said, “The message from God {Theos, Source Of Good News} had to come to you first. But since you are turning it away and judge yourselves unworthy of eternal life, look, we are now bringing it to the other nations.” |
