38. Formal Translation
But Peter told them, “Repent, and let each of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ {Iesous Christos, Sin Forgiver} so that your sins may be pardoned, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit {Hagios Pneuma, Promised Presence}.”
38. Dynamic Translation
Peter replied, “Turn from your old ways and be baptized—everyone—in the name of Jesus Christ {Iesous Christos, Exalted Savior} so that your sins may be washed away. Then you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit {Hagios Pneuma, Empowering Gift}.”
