| 11. Formal Translation He came to us, took Paul’s belt, bound his own feet and hands, and said, “Thus says the Holy Spirit {pneuma to hagion, Prophetic Revealer}: ‘In this way the Jews in Jerusalem will bind the man who owns this belt, and they will deliver him into the hands of the Gentiles.’” |
| 11. Dynamic Translation When he arrived, he picked up Paul’s belt, tied his own feet and hands, and declared, “This is what the Holy Spirit {pneuma hagion, Guiding Presence} says: ‘The Jews in Jerusalem will tie up the owner of this belt in this way and then hand him over to the Gentiles.’” |
