11. Formal Translation I overturned some of you, like God {Elohim, Overthrowing Judge} overturned Sodom and Gomorrah, and you became like a firebrand rescued from burning; yet you did not return to Me, a declaration of the LORD {Yahweh, Covenant Confronter}. |
11. Dynamic Translation I devastated part of you, just as God {Elohim, Righteous Destroyer} devastated Sodom and Gomorrah. You ended up like a firebrand pulled from a blaze, but you still did not come back to Me, says the LORD {Yahweh, Mercy Summoner}. |
