3. Formal Translation For thus says the Lord GOD {Adonai Yahweh, Sovereign Master}: “The city that goes out a thousand will have a hundred left, and the one that goes out a hundred will have ten left for the house of Israel.” |
3. Dynamic Translation This is what the Lord GOD {Adonai Yahweh, Ruler Over All} says: “A city that sent out a thousand will have only a hundred survivors, and a city that sent out a hundred will keep just ten for the people of Israel.” |
