5. Formal Translation And Lord GOD {Adonai Yahweh, Sovereign Judge} of hosts, the One who touches the land and it melts, and all who dwell in it mourn; and it rises, all of it, like the Nile, and it sinks like the Nile of Egypt. |
5. Dynamic Translation The Lord GOD {Adonai Yahweh, Covenant King} of hosts lays His hand on the earth and it dissolves, and everyone living there grieves; then the whole land swells like the Nile and drops again like Egypt’s river. |
