Lord, revive your Church so we speak with Daniel-like courage and humility. Free us from fear of people, from arrogance, and from careless speech. Teach us to honor the roles you place around us and to speak truth in the right way, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Renew Your Church's Courage

Begin by naming the person who has responsibility, ask God for a calm spirit, and pray for words that are respectful, clear, and timely. Then take the next honest step he gives you.

Before a Hard Conversation

Father, thank you for wise order, for people who can carry responsibility, and for the chance to speak honestly when needed. Thank you that you see both the one who leads and the one who must respond, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Thank You for Wise Order

Pray for people in authority: that they would use their power fairly, listen well, and make wise decisions. Pray also for those under them, that they would speak with courage, patience, and honor.

For Leaders and Those They Guide

Bring these to God: your reluctance to speak, your frustration with authority, and your need for humility when others are in charge. Ask him to grow steady courage and a teachable spirit.
