He reaches out with authority toward the nations

He forms a diplomatic alliance with the nations

He keeps his rule confined to one smaller land

He steps back and leaves them on their own

Assume private choices are beyond accountability

Keep faith public only when others can see it

Trust good intentions instead of repentance

If you would like to receive Jesus, pray this with me: Lord Jesus, I admit that I have sinned and lived as if I could hide from you. I turn from my sin and ask you to forgive me. I believe you died for my sins and rose again. I confess you as Lord and welcome your righteous rule over my life. Amen.

Come Under Your Saving Rule

Lord, stretch out your strong hand over your Church again. Wake us from pride and spiritual sleep, make us humble before your authority, and send us with compassion to the nations. Let us live as people who belong to you in every place, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Awaken Your Church to Holy Reverence

Confess to God any hidden sin, any self-reliance, and any pride that assumes you can escape his notice. Ask him to bring it into the light and give you a willing heart to turn.

Nothing Hidden

Pray by naming one nation, leader, or troubled place. Ask God to show his righteous rule there, to restrain evil, and to open hearts to fear him and seek him.

Pray for Nations and Leaders

Thank God that his authority reaches beyond borders, that no place is too far for his care, and that his justice is sure everywhere. Praise him that nothing can outrun his rule.

Thank You for Your Reach

Father, help me live honestly before you today. Keep me from hiding, from compartmentalizing my life, and from assuming any part of me is beyond your care. Teach me to trust your authority and obey you with an open heart, in the name of Jesus. Amen.
