Stay so busy that there is no room to notice anything unexpected

Trust every unusual thought immediately without reflection

Only expect God to speak when life feels dramatic

If you would like to receive Jesus, pray this with me: Lord Jesus, I need you to break into my life as surely as you break into the night. I admit that I have sinned and cannot save myself. I believe you died for my sins and rose again. I turn from my sin and open my life to you. Be my Lord and my Savior, and lead me into your light and truth. Amen.

Receive the Lord Who Speaks

Father, revive your Church so we are not asleep to your nearness. Make us watchful in ordinary days, humble before your holiness, and ready when you interrupt our plans with your word. Let us recognize your voice, honor your messengers, and follow you with fresh reverence, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Wake Your Church to Your Presence

Pray by naming one quiet place or routine where you want to be more attentive. Ask God to meet you there, to clear away distraction, and to show you one next faithful step.

Pray for Quiet Attention

Thank God for meeting people even when they are resting, for seeing beyond our outward stillness, and for sending help from heaven in ways we do not expect. Thank him for his nearness in the hidden moments of life.

Thank God for Speaking in Quiet Places

Father, you are high above heaven, and your holiness is not limited by the darkness of the night. You can send help, reveal truth, and enter the quietest place with your presence. Teach me to honor you with awe and trust, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Holy Lord of Heaven

Pray for someone who is waiting, anxious, or unable to sleep: that God would meet them with peace, that fear would give way to trust, and that a clear word from heaven would come at the right time.

For the One Waiting in the Dark
