So that all who live may recognize that God above all rules human kingdoms

So that the heavenly messengers receive honor from people

So that the holy ones themselves take over the kingdoms

So that earthly rulers stay in power no matter what

Anyone the Highest chooses, even people of the lowest rank

Only those who already come from royal families

Only the most powerful and respected people

Only the people the crowd chooses in a vote

Pray, obey, and hold your plans loosely, because God rules and appoints authority

Assume the strongest person will always win, so faithful people should just keep pace

Treat current leaders as ultimate, because authority belongs to them alone

Wait for a perfect human ruler before taking any faithful step

If you would like to receive Jesus, pray this with me: Lord Jesus, you are the rightful Lord over every kingdom, and I need your rule in my life. I admit that I have sinned, trusted myself, and lived as though I were in charge. I turn from my sin and ask you to forgive me. I believe you died for my sins and rose again. I confess you as my Lord and trust you to lead me now. Amen.

Come Under Your Rule

Lord, revive your Church so we will truly believe that you rule over every human kingdom. Free us from fear of leaders, pride in power, and trust in ourselves. Make us humble, obedient, and ready to honor your rule in every place you send us, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Wake Your Church to Your Sovereignty

Father, thank you that no human kingdom is beyond your hand. Thank you that you give authority as you will and that you can raise up the lowly for your purposes. Teach me to rest in your wisdom today, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Thank You for Wise Rule

Pray by naming one authority issue, decision, or fear that feels too large for you. Ask God to remind you that he rules, to show you the next humble step, and to help you act with peace instead of panic.

Pray Over the Place You Cannot Control

Pray for: rulers and officials who need humility; communities living under unstable or unjust authority; people who feel overlooked but whom God may raise up; and that the living would recognize God's rule over human kingdoms.

Leaders and Nations Under God's Hand

Bring these to God: your urge to control outcomes; fear of powerful people; impatience when God works through unexpected leaders; and your willingness to trust his rule over your plans.
