Respond quickly with humility and change course

Delay change until consequences leave no choice

Treat the warning as exaggerated and keep going

Hide pride more carefully so others will not notice

If you would like to receive Jesus, pray this with me: Lord Jesus, I admit my sin and my pride. I have lived as if I could stand on my own, and I need your mercy. I believe you died for my sins and rose again. I turn from my sin and receive you as my Lord and Savior. Humble my heart and make me yours. Amen.

From Pride to Mercy

Lord, as you humbled Nebuchadnezzar and fulfilled your word in the same hour, humble your Church before you. Wake us from pride, make us quick to hear your warnings, and let us respond with obedience before correction becomes severe. Renew us to fear you, love you, and trust your word, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Revive a Teachable Church

Father, thank you that what you speak does not fail and does not drift into silence. Thank you that your warnings are real, your justice is sure, and your mercy still speaks before judgment falls. Teach me to trust your word when it comes quickly, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Thank You for Your Word Coming True

Lord, keep me from stubborn pride that needs to be broken before it listens. Give me a heart that turns quickly, receives correction, and does not wait for pain to teach what obedience should have heard. Make me humble, teachable, and ready to obey, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

A Humble Heart Before Correction

Pray for: people who have been brought low by pride; leaders who need to hear God's word before consequences come; anyone who feels stripped, ashamed, or far from the people they once stood among; God's mercy to lead such people toward repentance and restoration.

Pray for the Humbled and Restored

Name one area where you may be resisting God's voice, confess the pride connected to it, and ask him for a teachable spirit. Then ask for one immediate step of obedience before consequences become the teacher.

Pray Before the Warning Becomes Pain
