Receive the help and take the next faithful step

Insist on recovering without any help so you look strong

Stay where you fell and let the moment pass

Treat the help as a feeling instead of something to respond to

If you would like to receive Jesus, pray this with me: Lord Jesus, I admit that I have sinned and cannot raise myself before God. I turn from my sin and from relying on my own strength. I believe you died for my sins and rose again. I confess you as my Lord, and I ask you to touch my life, forgive me, and help me stand in your grace. Amen.

Receive Me When I Cannot Rise

Lord, your people are often tired, bowed down, and slow to respond. Speak to us again, touch us again, and awaken us from spiritual sleep. Lift your Church from discouragement and self-reliance, and help us stand ready to obey you with humility and strength, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Wake Your Church and Lift Us Up

Father, when I feel overwhelmed and unable to keep standing, reach me with your steadying touch. Bring me out of spiritual drowsiness, lift me from the ground, and give me peace to trust you for the next step, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

For the Times We Fall

God, thank you that you do not leave me face down in weakness. Thank you for noticing, touching, and lifting people who cannot lift themselves. Thank you for strength that comes as a gift and not as a reward, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Thank You for Your Helping Touch

Begin by naming one place where you feel spiritually, emotionally, or physically worn down. Ask God to speak into that place, ask for his touch to steady you, and ask for one small next step that will help you stand again.

Pray When You Feel Flattened

Pray for someone you know who feels flattened by grief, fear, or exhaustion: that God would touch them, lift them, and give them one clear step forward.

For Someone Who Feels Unable to Stand
