12. Formal Translation And He {Yahweh, Covenant Judge} confirmed His words which He spoke against us and against our judges who judged us to bring upon us a great calamity, which had not been done under all the heavens as was done in Jerusalem. |
12. Dynamic Translation He {Yahweh, Righteous Overseer} kept His promise by doing what He said He would do to us and to our leaders who ruled us, bringing upon us a great disaster. Nothing like it has ever happened under the whole heavens as happened in Jerusalem. |
