13. Formal Translation As it is written in the Law of Moses, all this evil has come upon us; yet we have not entreated the face of the LORD our God {Yahweh Eloheinu, Covenant Judge} to turn from our iniquities and to gain insight by Your truth. |
13. Dynamic Translation Just as it says in the Book of Moses, all this trouble has come upon us; but we did not plead before the LORD our God {Yahweh Eloheinu, Righteous Authority} to turn away from our wrongdoing and to understand Your truth. |
