16. Formal Translation Lord {Adonai, Supreme Judge}, according to all Your righteousnesses, please let Your anger and Your wrath turn away from Your city, Jerusalem, Your holy mountain; for because of our sins and the iniquities of our fathers, Jerusalem and Your people have become a reproach to all our surroundings. |
16. Dynamic Translation Lord {Adonai, Merciful Protector}, in line with all Your righteous acts, please turn away Your anger and Your fierce wrath from Your city, Jerusalem, Your sacred hill. For our sins and the iniquities of our ancestors have made Jerusalem and Your people an object of shame to all around us. |
