To tell Daniel the message because he is deeply treasured

To correct Daniel before any answer can be given

To show that the message could not be sent sooner

Pay attention to the message and seek to understand what God is showing

Wait for a more dramatic sign before taking it seriously

Treat the message as private curiosity and move on

Focus only on feeling loved and ignore what God said

If you would like to receive Jesus, pray this with me: Lord Jesus, I come to you needing mercy and truth. I admit that I have sinned and cannot save myself. I believe you died for my sins and rose again. I turn from my sin and receive you as my Lord and Savior. Please forgive me, lead me, and teach me to listen to your voice with a humble heart. Amen.

Come Near and Lead Me

Lord, revive your Church to pray with honesty and to listen with attention. Where we have rushed past your voice, slow us down. Where we have grown careless with your word, make us tender again. Let us value what you show us, and let your people become quick to understand and faithful to obey, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Wake Your People to Listen

Begin by telling God your honest plea. Then pause and ask him to make his message clear. Ask for a listening heart, for wisdom to recognize what is from him, and for courage to respond once you understand.

Pray for Understanding

Thank God that he hears prayer from the very start. Thank him for caring enough to speak, for valuing his people, and for giving understanding when his will is hard to see. Give thanks that he does not leave you without help.

Thank You for Hearing My Prayer

Pray for someone who is waiting for God’s direction. Ask the Lord to send clarity, to remind them that they are treasured by him, and to help them pay attention to his message instead of drifting into fear or distraction.

For Those Waiting on an Answer

Father, grow in me a listening heart. Help me slow down, pay attention, and understand what you are showing me. Keep me from rushing past your word or treating it lightly. Teach me to receive your guidance with gratitude and obedience, in the name of Jesus. Amen.
