4. Formal Translation And He {Yahweh, Covenant Lawgiver} inscribed on the tablets, just as before, the ten words that the LORD had spoken to you on the mountain from the midst of the fire on the day of the assembly, and the LORD handed them to me. |
4. Dynamic Translation He {Yahweh, Divine Instructor} wrote on the tablets exactly what had been inscribed earlier—the ten commandments that the LORD spoke to you on the mountain out of the fire on the day of the assembly—and the LORD handed them to me. |
